Guidance

The Guidance Program at Rachel Patterson School is designed to promote the personal/social growth, academic achievement, and career development of the students .  The foundation of the program is the classroom guidance lessons.  These and other services of the Guidance Department include lessons like No-Bullying, Say No to Drugs, Making Good and Healthy Choices, Getting Along with Others, and Personal Safety.

Other services of the Guidance Department include individual and small group counseling, parent and teacher consultatrions, and referral services to community agencies.  Parents may contact the counselor if they wish help for their child.  Please call the school and ask for the counselor. 

The counselor is involved in many programs.  These  include Character Education, Star Student, We're in the News Bulletin Board, No-Bullying Program, Positive Behavior Suppport Program, Behavior Intervention Plan Team, Red Ribbon Week, Honor Roll Recognition, 504, EL, and gifted referral screening teams.
